Mashayakhi Social & Welfare Trust
Mashayakhi Social & Welfare Trust (MSWT) is a voluntary organization established with the aim of assisting the poor and needy in society through various means, focusing on rural health, education, and development activities. Founded by like-minded individuals who recognized the need for affordable healthcare, MSWT started with a small clinic named Rashad at Kakoshi Village, which operated as a daycare clinic with an MBBS doctor. The success of this initiative instilled confidence in the organization to pursue a larger medical facility. As a result, on January 1st, 2013, MSWT launched a 10-bed multi-specialty hospital in Sidhpur. Over time, the hospital expanded in bed strength and specialties.
The trust is involved in a variety of activities to fulfill its mission of social service, particularly focusing on health and community development programs. It operates healthcare services through Shifa Hospital, Shifa Medical Stores, Labcity Diagnostic Center, and outreach medical services, all offered at non-profit rates to the underprivileged. The institute also contributes to supplementary education and other social development programs through community-based development initiatives. MSWT is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950 and the Societies Act of 1860.
